Open communication between you, your family veterinarian, and the DVSC’s staff

What makes or breaks a successful treatment plan? Communication.

We must all work together to meet your pet’s needs. This means honest, open communication between you, your family veterinarian, and the DVSC’s staff. Be frank with us in explaining your needs and concerns relative to your pet’s health. And while doctors can never know with certainty what the future holds for their patients, we will give you our honest prediction regarding initial surgical success, as well as long-term prognosis.

While your pet is in our care, your own veterinarian will remain the primary-care doctor. Consequently, we will communicate with your veterinarian by phone, letter, fax, and/or e-mail as necessary, detailing your visit and our recommendations for your pet’s future care.
