Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center partners with North Texas Animal Rehabilitation Center to provide our patients with the most comprehensive care possible. Rehabilitation therapy following an injury or surgery has been proven to decrease pain and inflammation, improve strength and coordination, increase joint range of motion, and speed healing. Rehabilitation can also have positive psychological effects on your pet. Just as humans would receive rehabilitation therapy following an injury or surgery, our pets deserve the same care and attention we would expect for ourselves.
We want to provide the fastest and most complete recovery following an injury or surgery. To accomplish that, we rely on the North Texas Animal Rehabilitation (NTAR) center, which provides individual care using advanced rehabilitation techniques. The rehab staff will perform a thorough evaluation of your pet and will devise a treatment program tailored specifically for your pet’s needs.
Comprehensive rehabilitation services include therapeutic ultrasound, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy on an underwater treadmill. NTAR also provides superficial cold and heat treatments, massage, therapeutic exercise, home care programs, and conditioning and fitness programs for weight loss and weight management. The rehab staff works closely with the surgeons and your primary care veterinarian during the rehabilitation process to ensure that your pet achieves his/her full potential.
