Visits

You may visit your pet while he or she is hospitalized. We discourage visits on the day of surgery because your pet will be recovering from anesthesia and may try to move around in excitement and further hurt itself. After that, you may visit:

  • Monday through Friday, 10 am – 4 pm
  • Saturday, 9 am – 10:30 am on Saturday. (DVSC-North Dallas only)

If you plan to visit, please call and let our receptionists know ahead of time. Typically, we will bring your pet to you in an examination room for the visit. If your pet cannot be moved, we will allow you to visit in the hospital ward or ICU area only if no other patients are receiving critical care at that time.

DVSC-Grapevine: Visits on weekends or after 5 pm on weekdays must be coordinated with the doctors and staff of the Animal Emergency Hospital. Due to the unpredictable nature of an emergency practice, you may not be able to visit during busy times. Please respect their visitation policies. Emergency contact: 817.410.2273.
